Welcome to Shane’s little music domain…

Composing with guitar or piano and inspired mostly by time on the sea, my 2 year old son and the simple everyday mystery in the beauty of life! My compositions and songs generally fall into two categories…

- Southern African inspired guitar/ sunshine music (often with lyrics)

- Slightly quirky piano based with a classical influence.

 

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I moved to the UK in 1999 to study music and music technology. Since then I have worked as a sound engineer from solar powered stages out in the nether regions of festival land to venues like the Albert Hall in London. I write music for two of my own band projects as well as studying composition for film/media and challenging myself to earn a living from writing music and related tentacles such as music editing and film sound mixing.

 

I grew up studying classical piano, discovered DJ’ing, night clubs and girls, sailed halfway round the world and found myself in a small music production studio where I write music and record and mix for film and bands. Along the way, music has been my constant companion and friend!

 

I pray to the stars to guide my way,
The ocean lets our passage safe,
The wind to drive us safely to your harbour.
The dolphins play in the bow waves
They teach us something everyday
Breath deeply – blessings of each day……
